Gosh, it's exactly a year since we went to Lyvden New Bield in Northamptonshire, and I'm only just now putting the photos I took up here!
Lyvden New Bield is a hunting lodge that was being built in 1610 but was never finished upon his death. It was a gorgeous day and, as you can see, there wasn't a cloud in the beautiful blue sky. Sometimes though I think it nice to have clouds in the sky to give more atmosphere.
Of course I was using my trusty Nikon D90 camera, with a Nikkor 24-85mm F3.5 lens, which they no longer do. Nikon's new lens that has replaced it is the Nikkor 25-85mm F2.8. I haven't tried that, but some say they don't think it is quite as good.
The last two photos are of a church we saw in a village on our way home, but sadly we can't remember which village it was now!

DSC_3466…. Top shot !
Looks like the camera has an enthusiastic metering system, leaning a little towards over exposure sometimes
