		<description>Hi.  Yes there is a black and white function.  Go to the Shooting Menu (camera icon), then select Set Picture Control. Then select Monochrome.

However, you may wish to reconsider using this feature and instead take the photo in colour as normal and then convert the file to greyscale using your favourite graphics program. This gives the photo a better range of greys and also if you change your mind you still have it in colour and can compare the two.</description>
